For my Research and Enquiry module, part of my MA course with Hertfordshire School of Creative Arts, I’m enquiring into INFORMATION and how it can be used to either inform or MISinform; even DISinform. I’m taking a look at how we access, select and filter information; and at how our information consumption might affect the way we view the world. Looking into this enquiry from the point of view of my field – Graphic Design – I am going to investigate how we through Information Design we can present information either effectively or distortedly.
My work draws on thought leaders and designers in the fields of Information Design, Data Visualization and Statistics; and it also has a strong element of Social Science as I investigate how we get our information today.
